Site

In the Site dialog, users may set the site location and soil site class. In particular, if the user is importing design response spectrum parameters from an online source (such as USGS), then defining and saving a site is required.

Site Location

Two options are supported to set the geographical location of the desired site:

1.Street Address (e.g. 2159 Bay St, Los Angeles, CA 90021, USA) or

2.Latitude and Longitude (e.g. 34.014, -118.227)

After selecting one of the two available options, users may click the "LOOKUP" button to identify the alternative site option location. For example, if users selected and defined the Latitude and Longitude, QuakeManager will identify the address of the location (see example below) and vice versa.

Note: In order to import spectra parameter from USGS, the user may define the acceptable range of Latitude and Longitude as follows:

32 < Latitude < 49

-125 < Longitude < -114

Site Soil Class

Two options are available to define the site soil class:

1.Soil Class

2.Vs30

In case the shear wave velocity (Vs30) was defined, QuakeManager will automatically identify the site soil class and vice versa.

QuakeManager supports multiple site classes from different codes:

A

B

BC

C

CD

D

D-default

DE

E
