Chart

Show/hide chart features:

Legend: Show/hide the chart series legend

Records: Show/hide individual selected records from the chart (note that those records are still including when calculating statistics)

Period Range: Show/hide the period range used in GM Selection or Spectral Matching

X-axis: Freq: Switch the X-axis from period to frequency (or vice versa) for spectra charts (Sa, FFT, PSd, etc.)

X Log: Switch the X-axis from linear-scale to log-scale

Y Log: Switch the Y-axis from linear-scale to log-scale

X Grid: Show/hide the X-axis grid lines (parallel to Y-axis)

Y Grid: Show/hide the Y-axis grid lines (parallel to X-axis)

Norm X-Axis: Make the X-axis scale normalized to a maximum value of 1.0 (useful for Arias charts)

Norm Y-Axis: Make the Y-axis scale normalized to a maximum value of 1.0 (useful for Arias charts)

Freeze X-Axis: Freeze X-axis limits (min/max) - prevents automatic updating when a different record is selected

Freeze X-Axis: Freeze Y-axis limits (min/max) - prevents automatic updating when a different record is selected

Components

Show/hide selected Components in the current chart:

Component 1: Show/hide 1st Horizontal Component (H1)

Component 2: Show/hide 2nd Horizontal Component (H1)

Component 3: Show/hide 3rd Vertical Component (V)

Triplet Resultant

Show/hide multiple characteristics of the resulting triplets using different computations:

All: Show all triplet resultants

None: Hide all triplet resultants

Geomean: Show/hide the geomean of components 1 & 2 of the Triplet (i.e. horizontal components H1 & H2)

Max(1,2): Show/hide the maximum of components 1 and 2

Min(1,2): Show/hide the minimum of components 1 and 2

SRSS: Show/hide the SRSS of components 1 & 2

RotD100: Show/hide the maximum rotated component (MaxRot)

RotD50: Show/hide the median rotated component

RotD00: Show/hide the minimum rotated component (MinRot)

Comp1: Show/hide the first component of the Triplet

Comp2: Show/hide the second component of the Triplet

Comp3: Show/hide the third component of the Triplet

FN Comp: Show/hide the Fault-Normal rotated component

FP Comp: Show/hide the Fault-Parallel rotated component

Spectra Statistics

Show/hide chart statistics options for the selected records. The available options are the following:

Log Mean: Select how the Suite Mean (Average) is computed (Log/Geometric Mean vs Linear/Arithmetic Mean)

Log Sigma:  Select how the Suite Dispersion is computed (Lognormal Dispersion vs Linear Standard Deviation)

Auto Stats: If turned On, statistical options are selected automatically when a new suite of records is viewed.

Suite mu: Show/hide Suite Mean

Suite mu + sig: Show/hide Suite Mean + Sigma (84th Percentile)

Suite mu - sig: Show/hide Suite Mean - Sigma (16th Percentile)

Target mu: Show/hide the defined target spectrum

Target mu + sig: Show/hide the defined target spectrum Mean + Sigma (84th Percentile)

Target mu - sig: Show/hide the defined target spectrum Mean - Sigma (16th Percentile)

Target Limits

Plot target limits in order to verify that spectra fall within the specified limits for Peaks and Valleys or that the Suite Mean is not violating the specified Mean Limit (e.g. 90% of Target Design Spectrum per ASCE 7-16), when specified. The image below shows an example where all selected and scaled record spectra satisfactorily fall between the Peaks and Valleys limits (dashed blue lines), which in this case were specified at +/- 2 sigma's from the mean target.

Peaks

Show/hide the maximum and minimum values of the selected records in the chart

Modifications

This option is only shown for modified records (scaled, matched, etc..). The options shown may vary depending the type of modification. Show/hide the following:

Original: display the original record (before modification)

Modified: display the modified record (after modification)

Line Wt (Mod): display the modified chart with a heavier line thickness

Trip Targets: Display individual triplet targets (generally used with mean spectral matching)

Comp Targets: Display individual component targets (generally used with mean spectral matching)

Line Wt (Tgt): Display the individual targets with a heavier line thickness

Target 1 (Bidir Type): Display Target1, if used (generally used with scaling or spectral matching)

Target 2 (Bidir Type): Display Target2, if used (generally used with scaling or spectral matching)

Target 3 (Bidir Type): Display Target3, if used (generally used with scaling or spectral matching)

Copy Data

Users may select the output chart of interest and have the ability to perform the following:

Copy Metadata, copies the record view record data, including header and footers of the data, which makes it easy to create record tables in MS Excel or Word

Copy Chart Data, copies the chart series data which can be exported to create tables in MS Excel or Word

Copy Chart Image, take a screenshot of the selected chart
